This fee is designated for the future development and upgrade of school facilities from which your daughter will benefit during her time at College.

The fee must accompany a Contract of Enrolment in favour of the school which is required to be signed and initialled by both parents or guardians, or, in the case of one parent/guardian, the parent/guardian and an acceptable surety. Full contact details, as provided for on the form, must be completed by both signatories.

Tuition fees include the provision of tuition, career counselling, pastoral care, use of the libraries and sports facilities. In addition, tuition fees cover the provision of a large range of sporting and cultural activities. Specific details are available on request.

Boarding Fees

Boarding fees include board, supervised preparation time and care in the sick bay for short periods.

Boarding Deposit

A deposit equivalent to one term’s boarding fee is payable by no later than 31 October of the year preceding admission to College House. This deposit will be credited to the pupil’s account in the last term of attendance at College, or withdrawal from College House, if earlier.

Sibling Allowance

A tuition fee concession of 5% of the annual fee is given to the second daughter, and 10% for each subsequent child, provided that they attend the school concurrently.

Scholarships

Several scholarships are available at Grade 8 level. These awards are tenable for the whole of a girl’s senior school career provided that she fulfils the conditions of the award. Parents requesting consideration for a bursary will be asked to provide a confidential motivation.

Payment Terms

Fees are paid by the completion of a debit order instruction form. The debit order may be for a quarterly payment with fees paid in full on the first day of each term, or monthly payment from January to October.

An alternative to the debit order is to pay the annual fees in full on or before the first day of the academic year at a reduced level as specified on the schedule of fees.

Interest will be charged at the ruling prime overdraft rate in all outstanding balances.

Should your daughter be offered a place at College, a detailed schedule of fees and terms and methods of payment will be sent to you on acceptance.

Parents who experience problems with the payment of fees during their daughter’s years at College are advised to seek an interview with the Headmaster or Bursar.

Notice of Withdrawal

In the event of a pupil not taking up her enrolment or being withdrawn from the school, the parent, guardian or other person responsible for the payment of fees is required to give in writing to the Headmaster, one full term’s notice in advance of the enrolment/withdrawal date.

Failure to tender such notice will result in a term’s fees being payable in accordance with clause 4 of the signed undertaking.

Insurance

Compulsory Group Personal Accident Insurance is payable annually with the first term’s fees.  This cover includes medical rescue services whilst at school or engaged in formal school activities.  The premium for 2015 is R150.
