OVERVIEW

Please note that the main points of entry to St David’s are:

Grade 00 and 0 for Mini Marists and the Prep School
Grade 8 for the Senior School

ADMISSIONS PROCEDUREAdmission to Grade 00, Grade 0

STEP 1. Download the application form (see above).  Once completed please send to the Admissions Officer together with:

1. Copies of your son’s:

• Unabridged Birth Certificate
• Baptism Certificate (if he’s Catholic),
• Immunisation Card

2. Application Fee (see Fee Structure) or proof of payment of Application Fee if paid by EFT.

3. Copies of ID documents of Mother/ Father/ Guardian

Only once all the relevant documentation is received, can your son’s name be placed on our waiting lists.

Admission to Grade 1 – 7 (A few vacancies in Grade 1 – 7 do become available from time to time.)

Download the application form (see above).  Once completed please send to the Admissions Officer together with:

1. Copies of your son’s:

• Unabridged Birth Certificate
• Baptism Certificate (if he is Catholic)
• Most recent School Report

2. Application Fee R350.00 or proof of payment of Application Fee if paid by EFT, please not that this fee is not refundable.

3. Copies of ID documents of Mother/ Father/ Guardian

Only once all the relevant documentation is received, can your son’s name be placed on our waiting lists.

Admission to Grades 8 – 12

Download the application form (see above).  Once completed please send to the Admissions Officer (see below) together with:

• Unabridged Birth Certificate
• Baptism Certificate (if he is Catholic)
• Most recent School Report

2. Application Fee (see Fee Structure) or proof of payment of Application Fee if paid by EFT.

3. Copies of ID documents of Mother/ Father/ Guardian

4. A recent ID/Passport Photo (Grade 8 only)

Only once all the relevant documentation is received, can your son’s name be placed on our waiting lists.

All boys applying for Grade 8 write assessment tests and have an interview with the Headmaster or Deputy Headmaster.

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Grade 8 Academic Scholarship Examinations 2023 (for entry into Grade 8 2023)

• Only Applicants who have achieved a high overall average, usually above 80% in the St David’s Marist Entrance Examination will be invited to take part in the Academic Scholarship Exams.

Sports Scholarship Assessments

• Applications for Sports Scholarships need to be received by 2023.
• Sports Scholarship Assessments will take place on  2023.
• Sport Scholarship candidates should have achieved a high level of performance in one of the sports offered by St David’s Marist Inanda.  (District – Provincial – National)

Cultural Scholarship Assessments 

• Applications for Cultural Scholarships need to be received by 2023.
• Generally, only exceptionally talented boys will be considered – those playing at a Grade 2 level or above in Music or those who have excelled in Drama.
• Scholarships are assessed on an individual basis.  Following the submission of a CV, short-listed candidates will be invited to a practical audition.
