FET PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS (Grades 10 – 12)
- Minimum requirements
Learners must meet all of the following:
- 40% in THREE subjects (one of which being Home Language) +
- 30% in THREE subjects +
- 20% in the remaining subject (must have completed all portfolio components)
- Minimum requirements for admission to higher certificates, diplomas and bachelors degrees
Higher Certificate: Learners must have a National Senior Certificate (NSC)
Diploma: Learners must have a NSC with a rating of between 40% and 49% in FOUR recognised subjects.
Bachelor’s Degree: Learners must have a NSC with a rating of between 50% and 59% or better in four of the recognised subjects
